The e-mails never stop, even in the winter. That’s a good thing because I enjoy covering a team that people care about. What’s even better is that 95 percent of the e-mails make some degree of sense.
Then there are ones like this. Nothing has been changed, I copied it verbatim.
Subject: Yankees needs to Trade Arod and make room for Bernie for the last time
I hope the Yankees Trade Arod make room for Bernie. Andy Phillips will have to play third base to replace Arod.
Who cares about Yankees losing Arod with his power on the right side? Arod’s not clutch and chokes in the playoffs anyway
Yankees can scores alot of runs without Arod. Yankees could get more young prospects in return for him.
Thoughts? Well my initial idea is that it might be a mistake to trade a guy who had 35 homers and 121 RBI last season so they can keep an old player they don’t need. But that’s just me.
