Sent by the Yankees:
“Hello everyone. I’ve been wanting to jump in here and let you all know how much your emails of good wishes have meant to me during the past few weeks. I never imagined this outpouring of support would come my way, but your prayers are doing more for my recovery than any medicine ever could.
“Though I’m in Houston for about six more weeks, my heart remains true to you Yankees fans. I’ve always believed you’re the very best in baseball. It’s your steadfast spirit that keeps me feeling so optimistic, and I’m doing everything I can in an effort to see many of you back in Yankee Stadium on Opening Day. Thanks for caring.”

Thanks for posting, Peter.
It was so great to hear Bobby sounding in such good spirits – He is among the classiest people in the sports world.
My thoughts and prayers are with him for a full recovery and hope to see him on YES this year!
Yes, Bobby. You can be sure that Yankee fans from all over the world are with you. And prayers have been sent to God in so many languages, that there’s no doubt He is sending them for your recovery.
