He’s upset with Major League Baseball

I just received an impassioned e-mail from Josh, a frequent poster on this blog.

He is upset about MLB’s decision to sell games to Direct TV and remove the cable Extra Innings package. I’ve received a few e-mails about this and I know many out-of-area fans are furious.

This is a tough one for a local newspaper writer because most of my readers are in New York and get the games on their cable. The same is probably true of most people who read the blog.

Josh asked me to pass this along: If you have a complaint, e-mail or call MLB at (212) 931-7800.

I haven’t researched this issue enough to have an opinion. But one would think MLB would try and make the games available to as wide an audience as they could.
