Yankees make some front-office moves

This is a little inside baseball, but you might find it interesting.

The Yankees fired media public relations director Rick Cerrone last fall. They finally got around to replacing him today as they promoted Jason Zillo to the top spot and made Ben Tuliebitz his main assistant.

One tabloid columnist called them “inexperienced” today. But Zillo has been with the Yankees since 1996 and Tuliebitz since 2002. They have run the department since Cerrone left and done a very good job.

No, they were not involved in the A-Rod debacle the other day.

So congrats to those guys. Now make sure I get that one-on-one interview with Colter Bean I keep demanding.
