Forget this silly blog, I’m going to be rich

The birth of this blog 11 months ago has dramatically increased the amount of spam I get in my work e-mail account. This is my favorite yet:

Dear Sir:

I am a broker and I deal in crude oil, the BONNY LIGHT CRUDE OIL. I am looking for an honest person who will join me in the sale of the product. There is a large quantity of this product ready for sale on CIF contract.

Your duty will be to get the buyer while I get the seller. We can both be making up to the sum of US $2M every month for as long as the contract will last. My calculation is based on the sale of 2 Million Barrels each month and the commission is US $1 Per Barrel for the buyer’s broker and US $1 for the seller’s broker.

I will tell you more as soon as I hear from you.

Sincerely, Wright Williams

Of course, crude oil. And all I need to do is find a buyer. I’m sure my dad could use some, maybe some people at the office or the other guys on the beat. I bet A-Rod would buy two barrels. Who doesn’t need crude oil? All you need is a refinery and you’re on your way. Plus it’s Bonny Light Crude Oil, which is great.

So, best of luck with the Yankees. I’m going into crude oil. See you in the luxury suites.
