Here is the entire Joe Torre interview session from today, 25 minutes. He talks about Igawa, Hughes and Pavano along with Bernie Williams and other topics.

The best part comes about 11 and a half minutes in when Yogi Berra calls and Joe takes the call. It’s priceless.

It’s old new, I know, but I just have to say, Peter, the audio posts are awesome.

    hahahahaha, that Joe’s a character.

Audio’s much better, BTW… thanks for putting up these audio links, they are much appreciated.

Besides being a pretty good manager, Joe is a really likable person, and it comes through here.

Joe’s phone sorta sounds like the ones in CTU.

    that’s GREAT stuff, Peter.
    wow. It’s just… entertaining stuff.
to be on the “in” with your favorite team.
    thank you for that access.
I’m sure I’ll say it more times than this… so be prepared.

man, every day I’m looking more and more forward to Opening Day. And pitchers and catchers have only been there for two days.

    this is great.

Benjamin, I was thinking the exact same thing. This is the second site I’ve responded to one of your 24 comments today.

This is unreal and amazing…we’re so incredibly close to the players and coaches. You’re the best, Pete.

Great audio feed, Peter! Only 1 comment: I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. I seem to have a little trouble hearing the press members with their question. Don’t know if everyone else experiences this, but it would be helpful to hear the questions better.

Thanks Peter! Gonna get my online subscription to the radio feed….I’m phsyched!

    So Cal Yankee Fan!

Pete, Thank you so much for this audio. It’s so much better than the 3 or 4 sentences you get on t.v. or radio, you know, the sound bytes.

Also, I loved the reports from today all around.

Brian: I have one recorder that I leave on the desk in front of Joe. There are 20+ repeorters in the room. Getting mics on everybody is not something I can do.

As far as I know, this is the first time fans have had access to a Joe Torre media session in its entirety.

It’s the first time I’ve ever heard Joe Torre swear. Very weird. Great stuff, Peter.

I love it. Buried somewhere deep in Joe Torre’s contract is “Must caddy for Yogi Berra on road trips.”
