Mariano Rivera says he’s not upset. But the closer tossed a few fastballs at the Yankees.

Andy Pettitte feels right at home now that he’s back with the Yankees. Within this notebook, Derek Jeter says he doesn’t expect Bernie Williams to come to camp.

I’m not expecting any sympathy but it’s 49 degrees in Tampa this morning and I had to leave my shorts back at the hotel. It’s supposed to get even colder tomorrow night.

Here is the drill for today: The clubhouse opens to the media at 8:30. The players are supposed to be dressed at 9:30. After a meeting, they’ll take the field.

We’ll be back later on with some updates. The big event today will be the five starters throwing.

    Peter,
Could you get some audio when the starters throw? I love the sound of popping catchers’ mitts.

I just hope its warm enough and dry enough in April when the Yanks open up the season. I don’t want any rain closing out the games.

Zero degrees here this morning & I spend all of yesterday shoveling show. Shorts? harrumph, I’ve got a sweater on and flannel lined pants.

Peter, can you send a couple of degrees here to Toledo?

I think that regardless of if its 29 or minus 29 out, TT.

Trust me, this place is only temporary. I’m getting the hell out as soon as I can. Its been like this for the last month here…ugh. So much for global warming, lol.
