[...] A rod’s problems last season after an MVP 2005 campaign more than likely had to do more with his weight, than his brain. I don’t think Jeter cuddling with him in the clubhouse will matter one way or another and neither do they. Bernie will eventually either retire or ruin the end of his career somewhere else as he has already made it clear he will not be attending Yankee camp. And Gary Sheffield’s mouth is about as loud as his bat (though we wouldn’t know the last two years) so everything is more of the same as far as him ripping somebody who gave the former ’roid user a chance.
[...] For 2007, A-Rod has dropped 12 pounds and shortened his swing, making it more efficient through the zone and helping him with slower breaking balls. This bodes well for the new year, as his 139 strikeouts in 2006 were tied for the most of his career. His leaner figure could also help him swipe more bags. [...]

Arod dropping weight is a good thing. his swing was WAY too long last year. he's such a naturally gifted athlete that all he should concentrate is making contact. he could hit 40 HRs swinging a toothpick he's so talented. i wanna see more consistent contact, especially in sac-fly sits.

Steve, A-Rod put on a lot of weight in muscle last season, and a lot of people think that was one of the causes of his problems at the plate and on the field. He dropped it in an attempt to become leaner and more agile. I'm very excited to see how he performs this season.

Turn Two, that was the first thing that came to my mind too.

If he opts out at the end of this year, he would be dead to me.
