Remember when Schilling was pushing his way out of AZ? Didn't he say he would go to either the Yankees or Red Sox? Then he gets signed by the Sox, and the next thing you know he shows up places wearing Yankee hater gear and acting like it has been his lifelong dream to be in Boston. And the Sox fans fell for his act. Come November he'll probably be calling Cashman and proclaiming his burning desire to end his career as a Yankee. He makes me ill.

SilverBullet -

I think Rosenthal means that it could be a last hurrah for that all (but Jeter) remaining from the core group of the late 90s - Bernie, Posada, Mariano, and Joe Torre.

In addition - Abreu's contract is up, and ARod could opt out. There is potential for turnover that we haven't seen ina long time.

Odds are - Jorge and Mariano are re-signed, and Joe sticks around another year or two. His point is that nothing is locked in.

Also a solid bet - by 2008, Hughes is a #1 guy, Alberto Gonzalez could be the utility guy, and a guy like Sanchez or Ohlendorf could also be in the rotation.

Maybe Eric Duncan rebounds, and he's at first base. By 2009, Tabata could be the right fielder.

2007 could be the end of an era

http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6491124
Interesting article from Rosenthal saying that '07 could be the last year of the Yankee dynasty imo I don't think it is because we are going to be getting a bunch more youngsters who are just coming into their own and will start a new era

Who cares about Schilling? Let's change the conversation to a more relevant topic, here are some proposals:

1. What color shoes does Igawa wear?
2. Who is the guy who cleans the spring training towels?
3. Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

Join in the fun! Post other more relevant conversations topics than Schilling being an idiot.

How come he couldn't get Tavarez to be his spokesman like Manny? And some people call Tampa a circus. Looks like the 3rd place Red Slobs are imploding before Spring Training even begins.
