Pavano sent for tests (no, really)

Carl Pavano went for X-rays and an MRI today on his left foot. He was shut down from drills today and is questionable for for Tuesday’s intersquad game.

Other injuries: RHP Brian Bruney (left side) is going to be out at least four or five more days. … LHP Ben Kozlowski (oblique strain) missed his BP session. … RHP Humberto Sanchez (right forearm strain) threw BP and looked good. He said he felt fine.

Also: Johnny Damon is expected back in camp tomorrow after missing two days for personal reasons. … Tomoshige Yamashita, who coached Hideki Matsui in high school, was at the game. He and Matsui were planning to spend some time together.

I spent most of my time today on Field 2. I wanted to see Ron Villone and T.J. Beam pitch. Humberto Sanchez, too. Were I to guess, Villone makes the team. Beam maybe not but he will prove helpful.
