It was one year ago today that the LoHud Yankees Blog blog got started with this lame post on our old platform.

Nobody read it as far as I could tell. But we’ve done just fine since thanks to you. According to the latest count, we’ve had 1,105,169 page views on 1,194 posts over the last 365 days. Don’t you people have jobs?

Outside of the time Kelly Ripa hugged me, this has been the most fun I’ve had in journalism. It’s professionally satisfying to cover a team so many people care about.

If you have a good question for Yankees captain Derek Jeter, please e-mail it to me before Thursday. I will choose the 10 best questions and the answers will run exclusively on the blog this Sunday.

One question per person, please, and make it one worth asking. E-mail entries only. Hopefully we can get some audio of the answers from Derek as well.

On a personal level, thanks so much for reading and contributing your opinions. The best part of this blog is the high level of discussion. Thanks also to pioneer baseball bloggers Alex Belth, Jay Jaffe, Cliff Corcoran and others. I wanted to start this because they seemed to be having so much fun.

So send me your questions for Derek Jeter. Hopefully this will be the first of many blog Q&As we’ll do all season.

As always, your comments, questions and suggestions are welcome.
