Man, you are getting ready to watch a baseball game. How cool is that?

  2. rbj

It appears to be a bit lopsided, no? I can understand why it’s scheduled for 8 1/2 innings.

    Go Yogises!

  3. logan

we obviously can’t expect you to keep watch over the whole game, but do you thnk you could keep particular attention to gardner, tabata, miranda, and phelps? thanks pete.

  4. Jamie

    Tabata’s going to go yard

  5. Jamie

    Is this game on YES?

  6. jay destro

it’s weird seeing matsui in the 3 spot

  7. Fernando Alejandro

Team Yogi appears to have a slight advantage.

  8. jennifer

That lineup is just not fair!! LOL

  9. mel

I bet Igawa’s happy he’s on Team Yogi and that he doesn’t have to pitch to that lineup!

Glad that Sheffield and his problems are not in this lineup. I bet Giambi feels great for coming clean (sort of…)

Both Vechionacci and Pena got Joe Torre’s attention last spring with their excellent glove work. Both guys struggled at the plate, but I think I read that both guys had their swings reworked.

Sardinha finally produced last year at AA and AAA after disappointing. It will be interesting to see if he continues to progress at the plate.

Pete – thanks for the info, as usual. Let us know if Austin “Action” Jackson and Eric Duncan appear. Jackson is a speedster who added about 15 pounds of muscle this offseason. Joel Sherman thought Jackson could be ready for a break-out year.

  12. yankz

How cool would it be if the kids stole one?

Arod shouldn’t bat clean up this year, his numbers are significantly better from the 5 hole.

  13. Wolf In Pinstripes

Just looked at a photo gallery on the Newsday site with pics from Legends field. Man, I really want to go down for some spring training action one of these days.

  14. Todd Drew

    yankz,
Alex is the big right-handed bat in this lineup. If he hits anywhere but cleanup this year I think we’ll be in trouble.

  15. Dave

If I had to guess three people to be injured first, I think I would have guessed Pavano, Sanchez and maybe Bruney. I grow more and more skeptical of the sheff trade every day. Sanchez like Pavano is another walking target.

Pete, can you list which games are televised on YES or some other channel?

  16. wood is good

Anyone read Pavano’s remarks yesterday about coming back from his bone bruise? “In the past…I don’t know how committed I was. This time I am definitely ready to go.” I think it’s pretty bold of him to plainly admit his sad attitude of last year. Let’s see how these next few weeks go….

Dave – Here’s a link to the YES site with their schedule: http://www.yesnetwork.com/news.....amp;vkey=4

(BTW – Happy anniversary Pete. Great job. The blog’s been better than I could have ever hoped.)

  18. Stacey

    Baseball! Woo!

  19. Phil A

    Go Yogi! Kick Reggie’s butt

    Score predicition:
    Team Reggie: 3
    Team Yogi: 135

    Pete,

Someone has to ask Torre about his acting debut on Deal or No Deal last night, it was pretty funny. Also, congratulations on your one year anniversary of the blog, best around.
