Sheff talks the talk at Legends Field

We’re getting close to first pitch here at a chilly (61 and windy) Legends Field.

Gary Sheffield filled up our notebooks before the game. Nothing too controversial. He did say he thinks Alex Rodriguez will have the best year of his career. Back with more on that later. Sheff is hitting third for Detroit.

We’re going to conduct a conference call with Bobby Murcer in a few minutes. I will post the audio on that ASAP.

Andy Phillips’ mom is doing much better according to Andy Pettitte, who spoke with the first baseman.
