He did not rip the Yankees. He enjoyed his time in NY and was honored to play for Torre. Yes, he said that. It was cut out of the article, though. Bubba was not complaining about how he was treated in NY. He was talking about the difference between the AL and NL, that's all. A fifth OFer in the NL, especially with the Reds, is going to get a lot more at-bats than a fifth outfielder on an AL team. And FWIW...the Reds have been using Bubba mostly in the DH/PH role lately.
