Long day ahead for your faithful correspndent. Andy Pettitte pitches a four-inning simulated game at noon at Legends. Any Phillips will get a few at-bats.

Then we jump in the car for the long drive south to Fort Myers and a 7:05 game against the Red Sox.

The Yanks are starting Carl Pavano with Darrell Rasner and Ross Ohlendorf to follow. The only regulars going are the Melkman, Cano, Matsui and Giambi. Tim Wakefield starts for Boston.

The plan is to update you on Pettitte before we jet then post a bit from Fort Myers.
