Donald Fehr, the executive director of the MLB Players Association, is here to address the troops.
Fehr used to be a Dr. Evil kind of character. But he has been less evil since his stint before Congress.
Now that the CBA has been taken care of, Fehr predicted his meeting with the Yankees would be fairly uneventful. He said he would tell the team how the negotiations were conducted, what settlements were reached and then ask for questions.
Fehr talked with the beat writers for 12 minutes and said that the MLBPA would accept a test for human growth hormone if one became available. He also said the association supports the 2009 World Baseball Classic being held in March, not November.
