The first three Reds had singles. Adam Dunn then popped to shallow center before Edwin Encarnacion grounded into a 6-4-3 double play.

The Yankees exploded out of the dugout to embrace Carl Pavano, pounding him on the back in joy.

OK, I made that last part up. But Pavano did nicely work out of a jam. 1-0 Yanks in the bottom of the second.
