Seem like the Yanks will speed up Wang’s rehab program, but it is too quick??

Even he looks great, isn’t it better take it slowly??

All the reporters in Taiwanese are reporting about his injury updates day by day, isn’t it a pressure for him to speed himself up??

For some people , like me, sometimes we will speed up ourselves from something due to expectation, hope isn’t the case for Wang…

Take it slowly, don’t rush….

“Pavano spent a good portion of his winter working out in Phoenix and strengthening his core, which had been weakened significantly in the past couple of years and prompted a chain reaction in his body that led to the stiff — and, eventually, inactive — Pavano we all saw.

Supposedly, he’s become more fluid. The trainer who worked with Pavano this winter, Brett Fischer, also helped train Chien-Ming Wang this offseason and actually put the two pitchers on a mound side-by-side recently.

Fischer said that Wang looked good and in better shape than last season, but that Pavano looked “amazing.” Something to think about.”

I forgot to mention earlier that you have to be very careful what you say about Pavano’s appearance around here. (“he looked out of shape”).

I called him a “fat load” a couple of days ago for his sloppy appearance on the mound and several bloggies practically had a stroke defending Carlo’s svelte figure. (I dunno. You think it’s that “man-crush” thing?)

Kris, where the hell is the Wang thing coming from? I have never said who would be better this season, Wang or Dice-K. In fact, I just don’t know. But both are excellent pitchers, with Dice-K being much more conventional.

And I love how early on today I was criticized for saying Pavano looks good. Now he was “sharp” and “impressive”. It never ceases to amaze me.

I was able to score some cheap nosebleeds for Thursdays game, so I’m hoping I’ll see his return to the Bronx. I’ll be dusting off the Pettitte Jersey for the day.

Encouraging stuff. I don’t expect the man to be great… merely decent will be just fine, thanks.

This is true. It is also true that AP was bad in the majors. I like the guy and all, and was rooting for him last year to make the team and play well, but only the first part happened. He had a fair shot and didn’t perform. I hope the Yanks take a chance on Phelps.

It would be nice if Pavano had a K or two today. It’s a hard game when you don’t strike anyone out. I’m glad he is pitching well today, but it’s tough to make a living as a pitcher if you can’t miss bats. Pavano is no Chien Ming Wang. What’s he got, 5Ks in 18 IPs this spring?

you keep saying this, and yet nothing i have read anywhere suggested anything different than Pavano came into camp in fantastic shape after working his butt off all winter.

i don’t really like the guy either, but he’s not “out of shape”.
