Bobby Murcer has qualified for a clinical trial being held at the Univeraity of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and today had his first dose of a vaccine.

An MRI taken last week was clear of any tumor growth. Murcer is fighting brain cancer

According to a statement released by the Yankees, Murcer is “overwhelmed by the constant outpouring of love and support being given from family, friends and fans across the country.”

Great news! Best of luck to Bobby.

Nothing would be cooler than Murcer coming back to call a couple of games after the All-Star break. Hopefully he’s back to feeling good in a few months.

Pete, if you see/speak to him, tell him we’re all thinking about him and wish him well.

    Pete:

Ditto here. From all the bloggies, all the best to Murcer. Is there some special Lohud Yankee Blog thing we can do? I know B.A.T. is near and dear to Murcer’s heart.
