that’s not how options work. once you bring the player up, it’s an option year. you can shuttle them back and forth as much as you like during that year and it’s still 1 option.

depends. if the yankees honestly view Clippard as a long term option for their future rotation, you don’t want to start his arbitration clock if you are just bringing him and sending him down. that’s what guys like rasner and karstens are for, plugging holes.

let the real prospects pitch in AAA and bring them up when you know they are ready.

I can’t wait for opening day so there is something to talk about here beyond who are third 1st baseman is or the 13 pitcher on the team is. Monday at 1;05 can’t come soon enough!!1
