Igawa finishes up strong

Kei Igawa was solid in his final outing of the spring. 6 innings, 6 hits, 3 runs, 0 walks, 3 strikeouts. 72 pitches, which is a good sign.

He goes Thursday against Baltimore and said his goal is not to walk anybody.

Luis Vizcaino (who we’re going to see a lot of) worked the eighth and Mo Rivera is on now for the ninth. It’s 3-3.

This will be the last blog post of the day as I have to finish off two stories and catch a flight home.

Please check out The Journal News tomorrow for our season preview material and the first Sunday baseball notes of the season.
