The Yankees made three errors behind Pavano and trail 5-3 in the fifth.

Rookie Elijah Dukes homered to center for his first big-league hit, a line shot. Four singles and two stolen bases gave Tampa three more runs.

Pavano’s line: 4.1 6 5 4 2 2. 73 pitches/43 strikes

Kazmir has no more than an inning left. The Yankees need to get to Tampa’s bullpen.
