Scheduling can’t be that hard

fulljgetty-73394638mh031_tampa_bay_dev_11_03_57_pm.jpgI’ve spoken with several people who froze their backsides off last night in the Bronx.

Here is their question: Why didn’t the Yankees open up in Tampa Bay?

It’s a good question. MLB also had these nonsensical matchups: Florida at Washington, Atlanta at Philadelphia, Arizona at Denver and Toronto at Detroit. I know scheduling is complicated but reversing those games would seem to make sense, no?

Meanwhile it’s 39 in the Bronx now and is expected to be around 42 at game time. Lovely.
