Big day for the blog; welcome newcomers

First off, I’d like to thank everybody for participating today. We’re closing in on 500 comments for a weekend day, which is a record.

There seem to be a lot of newcomers so I’d like to remind everybody of a few things:

Post about anything but try and be original. Yes, wins are good and losses aren’t. Give us a little more.

Posts with obscene language (or abbreviated obscene language) or personal attacks will be deleted. This blog is part of my newspaper and there are standards we adhere to. There are kids, grandmothers and just generally nice people who come here to talk about the Yankees. Be respectful.

If you can’t post without cursing or attacking somebody, I know for a fact that there are plenty of message boards out there for you and your fellow sociopaths. If you feel the need to personally attack me, please e-mail. This isn’t really the place.

The blog software records every user’s IP address. So if you’re some sort of insistent nitwit, you’ll get blocked. Lots of people are complaining about the small percentage of dopes and steps will be taken.

That said, everybody is welcome and please feel free to post. The main goal of this blog is to give you as much access to the Yankees as I can along with some insight and humor. It’s baseball and it should be fun.

Thanks for reading, catch you tomorrow.
