Bernie jams at the Beacon

As the Yankees search for healthy outfielders, Bernie Williams was playing some guitar at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan with the Allman Brothers last night. From Derek Jeter to Derek Trucks.

Here is a great link that includes a story and video.

Thanks to Scott for bringing this to our attention.

    “Can Bernie pitch?”

if the ball goes through the strike zone on 2 hops, is it still a strike?

Thanks for this piece Peter. We rarely get a chance to see the other side of the players in a different atmosphere.
I’m personally an ABB fan since 1970, so it was really special for me to see Bernie with some of the best guitar players there are. I truthfully didn’t know he had those kind of musical chops. To be able to sit in with the caliber of musicians those guys are isn’t easy to do.
