Having awoken at 5 a.m., I have only so much blogging energy.

Pavano was pretty subdued after the game. To his credit, he played up the idea of having saved the bullpen.

“Someone had to go out there and do it and I’m glad I was he guy to tell you the truth,” he said. “I’ve been through an awful lot and this team stuck behind me through it. I’m glad I could give back.”

As for A-Rod, this is interesting. Two of the home runs have been to center field and two to right field. He also has three fewer RBI than he had all last April.
