Sorry to hear your Wrigley Field experience wasn't the greatest, but I consider that place a baseball shrine and still one of the best places in baseball to watch a game -- whether you are rooting for the Cubs or not.

As far as the ivy is concerned, yes, it is true that the ivy doesn't fully bloom until the middle of May. And yes, parking can be tricky if you don't know your way around Wrigleyville.

Sorry, I know you didn't ask but I grew up a Yankees fan in Chicago and I've probably been to Wrigley a hundred times.

It's a far better baseball atmosphere than the South Side of town at US Cellular Field.

rbizzler -

Refresh my memory -- who plays at AT&T park -- I can't keep track of most of the corporate parks.

Wrigley Field -- make sure you go after April, when the ivy is green. We went in April, and the ivy was still brown and dead-looking. It took away alot of the charm. Unfortunately, we found Wrigley Field dirty and the Cubs fans a little hard to take. I would mention the parking situation, but there is none. (We paid to park in an overcrowded McDonald's lot across the street, and the cars are just piled in.)

I agree - Camden Yards and Safeco are great venues. We had outfield seats at Safeco, and my husband just missed catching a (Yankees) homerun! Until that moment, I never actually realized what grown men will do to catch a ball :).

Seems like good news on Moose to me. In the grand scheme it's hard to count a rotation out when our taxes aren't even due until Monday.

Let's not start handing out victories to any team simply because of the starting pitching match-ups.

I recall last season when the Yanks travelled to Toronto and two rookies by the names of Karstens and Rasner faced off against Roy Halliday and AJ Burnett and the Yankees won both games.

A lot more people would be winning big in Vegas if predicting outcomes of baseball games were that simple.

Since it is a day off and nothing on TV tonight switched to ESPN classic which aired the Top 5 reasons you cant blame Grady Little for the 2003 ALCS. The best was reason #5 the Curse of Don Zimmer seeing that old footage of him as sox manager then the fight in 2003 with recounts by pl;ayers like Petitte, Clemens was great. Brought back some good memories.

We look like losers on Friday, but if Iggy regains some composure, I'll take that. Saturday looks like a good day for patience. Big Joe Blanton ran out of gas early in his last start so if we look at a lot of pitches, maybe we get him out of there early. On Saturday Pavs could ground ball the A's to death and keep us in the game and give us a chance to win it.

As for Sunday, this is unfair but it's a game I'm really counting on Pettitte to win, especially if it's the rubber game of the series. We'll need him to go up strong against the tougher pitchers this season so he might as well start now. It's not a must win for Andy, but he needs to flash his A game. If we take the series at their park it's a big win. Remember, first we get to .500, then 10 games over .500, etc.
