There was quite a bit going on before the game with all the news involving the pitchers. Here is Mike Mussina talking about the condition of his left hamstring:

In the dugout an hour later, Joe Torre discussed the state of his rotation, specifically Carl Pavano:

Good Pavano audio is difficult to come by because he is a low talker.

Torre mentioned that Chien-Ming Wang also is scheduled to pitch Thursday. That start will determine whether the Wanger is ready to rejoin the big league rotation.

A few people in the U.S. have e-mailed me asking how they can get the book that Mark Feinsand, Sam Borden and I did on Wang. Here is the link. But at the moment, the book is available only in Chinese because we wrote it for the Taiwan market.

They sent us some copies and the book looks great. But unless you can read Chinese, it’s not much use to you.
