So much for “You know Pettitte is going to give you a strong outing.” I am going on a Yankee hiatus for a little while.

  6. Chevy

Glass Carl is probably my favorite nickname! :)

Is anyone actually surprised hes hurt??

  7. SJ44

The defense is more of a concern to me than the injuries. Injuries, you can overcome. If they can’t catch the ball (currently on pace for over 200 errors), then its time to panic.

I know Torre doesn’t like to talk about the defense. However, after this roadtrip, these guys need to take infield a helluva lot more than they do.

Even if this team was 100% healthy, if they are this deplorable defensively, they won’t be able to overcome the injuries.

  8. Michael

does anyone think that Carl looks like Howard K Stern?

  9. Emobacca

Bruce Springsteen’s “Secret Garden” would be an awesome song to tribute our Rajah

  10. Greg C.

This guy is the biggest joke in professional sports.

  12. Jake

Pete you got to relax with the Anti Pavano stuff. You’re supposed to be objective here.

  13. Christina

Jake he stinks and makes the most excuses I have ever seen. This is pretty much as objective as you can get while adding a little humor to the fact the man is a baby.

When I heard he was gonna make the start Tuesday, I knew that he was going to pull this nonsense and claim some new type of injury and land on the DL once again.

  14. redbug

    Pete,

Did the Yanks have a MRI done on Pavano? Have any medical tests been done to back up his claim on a sore arm?

  15. Constantinos
