I agree with you, players have a right to get paid, if anyone is dumb enough to pay 252 million, way more than the next guy, by all means take it. In fact I look at Andruw Jones this year and I feel sorry for him. He already turned down millions to give the Braves a home town discount. Now the Braves will want the same this year. Why should he loose out on money and not get paid just because the Braves won't pony up? It would be great for a player like him to finish his career for his original team, but no one in Atlanta or anywhere should hold it against him if he opts to go elsewhere (which he should, he deserves it and is one heck of a player).
