Igawa getting the job done so far

The Yankees are getting more out of Kei Igawa than they have any right to expect. Now is the time for the offense to find a way against Tim Wakefield.

Igawa is going to make himself quite a few friends if he can keep this up. This is shaping as one of those games that could change the direction of the tide.

Meanwhile, you have to feel for Jeff Karstens. He was their best starter in spring training then hurs his elbow. Now this. The more I cover baseball, the more I realize that half the battle is being physically able to play.

Baseball is a sports that rewards showing up. The Yankees don’t have enough guys doing that right now for assorted reasons.

Meanwhile the mighty Patriots just took a big-hitting safety from Miami. Love it. Now get a linebacker, hopefully Paul Posluszny of Penn State.
