It has to do with human empathy and saying “thanks, Pete” not about whether the man is paid to watch rain (or reply to morons). But given your comments elsewhere that sort of thing likely goes over your head (as one of those morons).

Holy crap I just realized that if they play two tomorrow they will need to call someone up to start both Sunday and Monday. Rasner/DeSalvo and Clippard I guess. Crazy.

it stopped where i am about 3 hours south of Arlington. its the same band. i expect baseball.

I was going to go to last night’s game and tonights game but didn’t because it was raining here 3 hours before and didn’t want to commit to he trip.

too bad this is the only time the Yankees are here.

During this delay, I’ll mention another important fact about Peter Abraham. In his photo, he’s dressed in a jacket and tie and looks like a grown up. All the photos of baseball pundits I see on ESPN, Fox, MLB, etc. present a male who looks about 6 years old, a little boy undershirt and baggy overshirt or little knit sweater with the white undershirt always showing, a little boy haircut–always with a stray tendril on the forehead, and a precious look on the face. Like a 6 year old boy would have on his face in the individual student photos taken in 2nd grade. Pete stands apart. I happen to prefer grown ups who look like grown ups.
