His ERA is 3.86. In one start Joe pulled him early, in the other he pitched into the 6th after allowing 3 unearned in the first. He's had one bad performance. 3.86 from the 5th starter who should be the 8th starter if everyone was healthy. He deserves a chance to pitch, he pitched well last year as well.

But he hasn't even gotten close to the 7th inning, so whats your point? He's giving these runs up in bunches.

6 earned runs over 14 innings comes out to 2 starts of 3 runs over 7, which i would take from my 5th starter any day. Even 9 comes out to about 4 runs over 6, which isnt too bad either, with the yankee offense,

TURNTWO:

Rasner has given up nine runs -- six earned -- in 14 innings for the Yankees this season.

So, in your eyes, this is effective pitching?

I just read Weaver's name in association with the Yankees, and had a little bit of vomit come up into my mouth.

DeSalvo looks like a good call to me. He doesn't have to be the savior of this team, 6IP less than 5ER is all it will take to get a W against any AL west team.

I missed the Lieber for Farns discussion but I don't mind it, wish there was another starter available thats better than Rasner/Lieber but still available for Farns straight up. This will probably not be liked but Jeff Weaver is probably available and he's only got a one year deal. I know he sucked his first go round but had a good October, pitched better against the Tigers than all our guys did. I really hope Moose/Pettitte pitch well today.

A few things:

I don't go on any message boards except this one. Thanks anyway.

DeSalvo has pitched significantly better than Clippard. Beyond that, do you think maybe the Yankees have some kind of an idea as to who is ready? Plus there are 40-man roster considerations
