Vazquez was an absolute stud in Montreal and projected to be for many years to come. He underperformed in NY, but was not horrible. Pavano was the best pitcher to hit the market and was courted by multiple teams. He didn't have a history of weakness of character in the past; no one could've predicted him folding like he's done. Even Weaver looked pretty good when he was the ace of Detroit's staff. I still have no idea what happened to him. How can you possible hold Vazquez and Pavano against Cashman?
