angel-
do you know who billy eppier and michael fishman are? if you do then you don't need to read sherman's article, othewise you might learn something. cashman does not come out pretty here.if you're a cashman supporter, it's worth reading just to see what the other side is saying.
i've been saying all along that cashman is a lightweight gm who should never be in 100 % control of the yankees.

How can you possible hold Vazquez and Pavano against Cashman? Vazquez was an absolute stud in Montreal and projected to be for many years to come. He underperformed in NY, but was not horrible. Pavano was the best pitcher to hit the market and was courted by multiple teams. He didn't have a history of weakness of character in the past; no one could've predicted him folding like he's done. Even Weaver looked pretty good when he was the ace of Detroit's staff. I still have no idea what happened to him.

at $26m, that may make him one of the most expensive triple A players in history (not rehabing from an injury)

How Rasner and De Salvo fare today and tomorrow will go a long way in deciding where Igawa will land up.

If they do well, most likey Igawa will be sent to Minors to work on his consistency and control.

I'd give Cano a day off on a day when Posada catches...tough to lose both bats with an iffy pitcher.

In 7 career starts, Rasner has given up more than 3 runs twice. He may not go deep, but he usually keeps them in it.
