The statistics are hard to believe. It’s no wonder Bobby Abreu says this is the worst slump of his career.

If Melky Cabrera were playing better, you could make a case for him playing right for a few days. But Cabrera has been less productive than Abreu.

Meanwhile, Andy Phillips is hitting well at Scranton (.328/.417/.544) and playing some second base. Is he a possibility if Robinson Cano continues at the pace he is on?
