Jason Giambi is now realizing the after effects of the steroids he took and his body is going to continually break down. I'm sure he knows that, but he may be too self absorbed to admit it. He's never admitted anything else.

Was Damon involved in 'performance enhancement drugs' too? Time will tell.

Doreen and stuart, please pass whatever you are smoking please.

No idea how you can remain so nauseatingly optimistic with such a dead team. They make me both angry and ill lately.

SP,

Shake it up posted what I think people should post. I don't think I can tell people how to post but don't just say something with nothing to back it up, there is no point. At least think of something creative b/c its really no fun to read 100 people saying, we need to get rid of someone but no one saying whether its possible in there mind or how it could be done.

OK, OK, Sean Casey is a Detroit Tiger...go debate his use on some Detroit blog because Yankees fans don't care.

Damon is a Yankee, Giambi is a Yankee, Arod is a Yankee. Let's discuss what really matters.

On a side note, Shake It Up, do you realize how much money the Yankees would have to dump on Jones AND Ichiro?

Shake It Up,

Nice try, but no thanks.

Sean Casey will be 33. He is a career 110 OPS+ player with two standout seasons, three crummy seasons, and a bunch of average seasons.

Ichiro will be 34. He has no power and his offense will decline dramatically as he slows down with age.

Joe Crede will be 30. He has a career .305 OBP. A CAREER .305 OBP. And you're saying he'd be a good choice for third base? Absurd.

Mike Lowell may be the best 3B out there if ARod leaves, but I'd have to be very desperate to want him. He'll be 34.

The only player on your list I could get behind is Jones.

It seems that you are trying to shake it up by bringing in players who are even older and more overpaid.

all you need to know is someone is advocating signing Sean Casey. Newsflash Sean Casey offensively is lightly better then DOug Mientke.. but is no where near him defensively.

teams try to replace guys like that not sign them or trade for them.........

Doug M. made sense for the Yanks becuase of the price and the Yanks other offense.....

give Johnny Damon back to KC and eat half his contract, he hit 20 HRS last yr and had over 100 runs for like the 10 straight yr. ..You think he is done at 32????I do not think so, and I will stand corrected at the end of the year itf this occurs but I bet his #'s by the end of the year will be just fine...

again the panic here is astounding and pathetic, red sux like...
