Don’t know why Jason brought up the subject of steroids/stuff this week.

When Pete asked for questions from us for his blog only interview with Jason, this was mine:

‘Jason, do you regret becoming involved with steroids?’

However, Pete chose not to use it.

I think both Giambi and the Yankees are in serious trouble with the MLB Commissioner’s office over the steroids and the special Giambi contract.

I’m not sure why Jason decided to speak out. When Pete asked for questions for Jason for the blog only interview he had with Jason, this was mine:

In any case, Jason is in serious trouble with MLB and the commissioner’s office.

The Yankees may be as well because they removed all mention of the word “steroid/s” from Giambi’s contract before his agent Arn Tellem would let him sign it.

what do you mean? the rules for paying out a claim are very strict, they can’t be from a pre-existing condition, and the player has to be out the entire season.

claims are rare and i am sure premiums are high.

i would guess it is a very profitable business.

Is there any insurance company dumb enough to provide insurance for Pavano or a lot of similar pitcher? It like the current ownership of the D-Backs changing the uniforms and taking down pictures of Luis Gonzalez 2001 hit because they are unhappy with the deferred contracts Colangelo left them. Everyone KNEW the D Backs were spending heavily to win, except these guys who bought the team.

Hey Pete any idea on this? Do the Yankees have to keep Carl on the 40 man to collect insurance.

I guess that might explain who he hasn’t been moved as of yet.

I am going to have a real problem if MLB suspends Giambi. Sheffield said he used the stuff as well although he didnt know he did in many articles as well as his book so if they suspend Giambi they better do the same to Sheff. The guy never tested postive ever

i am not sure they can though. i am not 100% on this, but i think if they are collecting insurance, he has to be on the 40 man.

for example, Matt Clement is on the 15 day DL and on the Red Sox 40 man roster. we know he is out for the whole season.

i am guessing it is b/c they are collecting insurance.
