just when you need him the most, "MR almost" mike mussina deserts us! if they send T Clip down in favor of more mussina slop then cash truly should have his head examined. I will say it again: mike mussina must have incriminating pictures of someone in the yankee organization

yeah, Crisp was out...but a veteran, even EX ace gets the batter and it doesn't matter.

Mussina should be in the NL- he might have a shot at 300 wins in the NL. In the AL he'll be lucky to get to 250.

Cashman should send Mussina and Melky to ST Louis for Rolen and Scott Spezio something. anything...

Rolen plays first for now (insurance is AROD opts out) and Spezio beefs up bench. Clippard takes Moose spot

SJ44...I agree with you 100%. This team beats John Maine and Tim Wakefield and people think it represents us "turning a corner"? They have shown me nothing, squat, squadoosh that says they are a playoff team. It can turn- much like the 2004 Sox turned on a dime...but there a lot of holes here...the entire OF, 1B, the bench, Mussina, relief, and even closer is no longer a lock...very shaky...and PAINFUL to watch play right now...get to the deadline and unload what they can- Mussina, Abreu, Damon, Giambi, Farnsworth, Myers, even Clemens (assuming he doesn't have a NTC)and AROD (for a big package- see Herschel Walker to Vikings for comparison)...reload and remake this team.

Edelman- it is always so obviosu to find the guys that never played the game beyond Little League- you're one of em. It's called major league baseball, it's played by men- big men (except in the case of Pedroia- a very little man). It was a great, hard play by AROD- and if he gets hit tomorrow by Fatmouth he BETTER go to the mound, or someone better pay dearly on the Red Sox...if AROD gets dinged tomorrow and there isn't a melee then I am going full-time NASCAR for the balance of the Summer

"Melissa NY: Call it a hunch but I have a feeling the Yankees are going to score a lot of runs today."

Remind me never to go with one of your hunches.

"That was not a dirty play…See Clemens on Piazza…that was dirty."

Clemens on Piazza wasn't even a "play". The ball was dead. Arod on pedroia was the very definition of a dirty play. Now, you can feel free to enjoy it during what has been an awful start. Maybe it's a straw you're grabbing at. But it was dirty. If you're going to approve of it, accept it for what it was.

In the dictionary under "cowardly dirty player of all time" is a picture of Jason Varitek with full face mask and catcher's gear attacking a Yankee player who was just standing there with no armor whatsoever. And that's just the beginning. The Yankees let the Red Sox treat them like rag dolls. Mostly unwatchable.

The most annoying thing about the call at 2nd was that there were 2 outs and Mussina wasnt able to just forget about that call and just get the next hitter out. Especially since it was another scrub Lugo and he went 2-0 and then threw a fastball right down the middle. It would of been a perfect time to bring in Bruney but Clueless really did leave Mussina out there to dry. It would of been 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th instead he let Mussina give up another 2 runs and 3 runs total given up with 2 outs. Whenever he gets a bad call or someone makes an error he always falls apart and loses it.

SJ44 says the Yanks are old and shot, again they are no older then the sux. edelman why do you post here? You are s sux guy?

Moose has too throw harder then he did else he needs to totally change how he pitches.

I did not see the postgame show what did he have to say?

The posts are lie a pogo stick when they win they are going to go on a run, when they lose, all is lost, they stink, they are done, etc...

moose will not be replaced by clippard anytime soon......no way

I think moose has a no trade clause. I agree cash is a joke and should be fired but Moose shouldnt be traded. And we shouldnt get ichiro. How many people that are sticking clippard into the rotation for the duration of the baseball season even knew who he was last week. I find it hillarious that In april I talked about clippard in the blog and with my friends and people would ask me who he was. Now, some fans think he is the answer to all of our problems. Hold off on the quick judgements and wait and see how he does in his second start before jumping to conclusions. Hes been great in every stage of his career but scouts dont think highly of him and no one really knows how well he will do against major league talent every five days. Give him another start before replacing Moose with clippard.
