Congratulations to Mike Sando of the Tacoma News Tribune for winning the Editor & Publisher “EPpy” award for for best media-affiliated sports blog.

Seahawks Insider is a great blog and has some features I would love to incorporate here.

This blog came in third in the contest, so I won’t be retiring any time soon.

If you have any ideas how this can be a better blog, please send them along. I’m willing to try most anything. Well, except anything suggested by Jason Giambi.

Good job, Mike, and thanks to everybody at my paper who has helped me with this blog.

    Congrats Pete. Great work.

The one suggestion I have is for there to be an edit option for posts. That would be helpful.

    congrats pete. well deserved.

one suggestion i can think of would be more polls. one new poll per week perhaps…

We’ll win it next year. Congratulations Pete on the nomination and on the great blogging you do everyday.

SJ44′s suggestion is a really good one – there are times after I hit “submit” that I want to change something (or just fix a typo)

Pete – congrats again. Your blog is one of the first places I check for the latest info – or just to find out what music is on your IPod at the moment.

Thanks to the regulars posting on this Blog, too – that community of users helps make it a good place to bounce ideas or just express frustration

It was anti-Yankee bias! You were robbed, Pete!

(That said, I agree with SJ44 that an edit option would be nice for comments if that was possible. Then maybe we’d all sound a little bit smarter.)

I’d like the ability to edit and even delete troll blog entries! ;-)

  8. Jeremy May 25th, 2007 at 1:06 pm

    Congrats!

My suggestion: change the font and format for comments so more can be displayed on the screen at the same time.

Well deserved, Pete. You obviously put a lot of time an effort into this blog. Its nice to be acknowledged – even if you didnt win. You’re in good company and theres always next year.

I’d like an ignore function if that would be possible, where I could choose not to see certain posts, whether that be by author or just by post. I second the edit function request too.

I agree with those about an edit option with my typing skills lacking at times it would be great to be able to fix those typos and spelling errors.

Great job this is the place no doubt.

Third place is great with what competition you had. Congrats!
The blog is great and am thankful for it. Keep it up.
I would love to have a blog related message board, so we can post some things too.

More pictures. Hire a photographer to come along with you. I would be perfect for the job. Even have a College degree in photography. That would certainly propel you into the winners circle ;)

Congrats Pete, thanks for all your hard work!

    congrats. this site is great.

one thing: could you post the team’s schedule somewhere? if you did that, i’d never have to visit the bland yankees.com again!

  14. Eric May 25th, 2007 at 3:39 pm

    Congrats Pete!

  15. Nick M May 25th, 2007 at 3:58 pm

good job Pete. My suggestions are the same that the others have been asking for and they are:

    An edit option.

    An ignore user option.
