Sorry, no audio tonight. Interviews here are conducted out in the concourse with trucks driving by.

No word on Doug Mientkiewicz, who was taken to the hospital. He was conscious but the Yankees don’t know the extent of his injury.

Clemens informed the Yankees sometime in the last 48 hours that he was injured. They invented a medical term (“fatigued groin”) to describe it. He told Brian Cashman he hoped to join the rotation after missing a turn. But that could be optimistic. The guy is 44 and has a history of groin and leg injuries.

It sounds like it’ll be Kei Igawa on Monday but the Yankees claim not to have made a decision.

Both times Torre ordered intentional walks in the seventh inning, the next hitter hit grounders that should have been double plays. Robinson Cano made a lousy feed to Derek Jeter that led to an error. Then Jeter just dropped the ball on the second one. Just a terrible inning all the way around starting with Bobby Abreu in right field failing to catch that ball hit by David Ortiz.

Scott Proctor has allowed six runs on seven hits in 3.2 innings against Boston this season.

Would you take Mike Lowell at third base next season once (if?) Alex Rodriguez leaves? I’d take Lowell over Joe Crede. The Yankees could use a gamer like that.

Thanks for reading and participating today. Catch you tomorrow.
