Clemens possibly on Saturday

Roger Clemens was examined by a doctor today in Tampa and will have an MRI tomorrow.

According to Joe Torre and Brian Cashman, the Rocket hopes to pitch on Saturday against Yankee Stadium against the Pirates.

Matt DeSalvo will start at Chicago tomorrow if this game is played tonight, which is no sure thing.

DeSalvo can be recalled because he will replacing a player on the disabled list in Doug Mientkiewicz. On Tuesday, the Yankees will bring up a position player from Scranton. It’s unclear who that will be.
