Well, isn't that too bad? If you injure a Boston media player, he's gonna kill you! (Unless, of course, someone yanks him out of harm's way!)

Dr. Acula,
i'm saying this a little late but thanks. your advice really helped me in writing my essay. you were right - after i began writing, the words just kept flowing out of me. i stayed up really late writing it (i almost missed the arod homer). i think it came out really good. i liked your analogy about asking a girl out.

i apologize for my going off yesterday. it was uncalled for. its just that i was desperate. i shouldn't have left the essay for the last minute. what can i say? procrastination is my middle name.

'“in a literal sense, F-You is the nicest thing you can say to a person.'

in that case, f-you
but seriously thanks

This is for MATT who made the comment about Carl Beane being "sober enough to walk onto the field"...obviously you don't know anything about him...the guy hasn't had a drop of alcohol in his entire life. Learn your facts before you post stuff.

Pete - you forgot to mention that Bob Klapisch was a former ivy-league pitching champ. Sure, it was 30 years ago, but
you gotta admit, he's still got control!

You also neglected to mention that the Yankee media team INTENTIONALLY WALKED a Red Sox media player. Some tell me that thats never happened before - ever!

It seemed you all "kissed and made up," or was there any follow-up in the press box later that night?

Pete, how did you get your fat ass off the bench fast enough to help your team out in a "fight"?

Pathetic. You media types continue to amaze me.

Hi, Renee

writing is like a play, it has three acts. a intro, the middle, and a wrap up.

the hardest part is the writing the beginning and the end. It like asking a girl out, once you break the ice, the conversation flows. Of course, the end of the evening is difficult, not knowing if you will get a kiss, a lot less or a lot more (phew, is it getting hot in here?).

writing is a little easier, cuz you don't have to do things in order. start by writing what you thing it's about. remember, as it's interpretive, so your teacher is probably looking for more than one explanation. Afterwards, once everything is spelled out and flowing, you'll be able to sum it up with a short ending, as well as lede paragraph that briefly telegraphs your conclusion and grabs the readers attention.

reading can be boring, so humor or snark is always appreciated.

ps. Lenny Bruce said, "in a literal sense, F-You is the nicest thing you can say to a person." Thanks!!

Of course you wouldn't consider his option being picked up. It wouldn't go along with your theory.

So, again, tell me why Bobby Abreu, without his option being picked up, would agree to go to Chicago?

Where do you think he has a better chance of hitting.....batting between Derek Jeter and Arod in NY, or in the White Sox lineup?

If its not about money, and just about pride, then wouldn't it make sense for him to stay in NY and try to get going? Wouldn't that be the prideful thing to do? Stick it out in NY, where he was great last year, and help get this team out of this funk?

If its about money, then why is he agreeing to a trade without getting his option picked up and hitting in a weaker lineup? What's in it for him? Nothing.
