Wang carrying the load for Yankees

ph_425426.jpgIn a time when most starters throw 85-95 pitches and call it a night, it’s nice to see Chien-Ming Wang go about his business.

The quiet man from Taiwan is 4-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last five starts. He has thrown 530 pitches and 36 innings in those games. Now 5-4 with a 3.73 ERA, look for Wang to really pick it up now. He has loads of confidence and is throwing a nasty slider to go along with his signature two-seam fastball and a decent changeup.

“When he pitches, we think something good is going to happen,” Robinson Cano said. “He’s a winner.”

Plus you have to dig that new haircut. He looks like a college kid.
