Joe Torre said he expected Johnny Damon to play tomorrow. Damon was injured on Wednesday and said he could have played today. But with a day game after a night game, Torre decided to be cautious.

Here is most of Joe’s postgame:

A few notes: The Yankees are 6-19 in games decided by two runs or less. … The three stolen bases for Jose Reyes matched his career high. The Mets were 5 of 7. Torre said Jorge Posada was throwing the ball too hard early in the game but improved after a talk with Tony Pena. With Reyes, the throw has to be perfect anyway. It looked like Posada had him in the seventh inning.

The two bullpens tonight: 4.1 0 0 0 2 3.

That’s it for tonight. Thanks for participating and check back in here tomorrow.

Youre going to get all the Jeter groupies upset with that comment, lol.
Well Yankees lost, I guess we were bound to have a loss eventually. Fingers crossed tommorrow for Clippard, hopefully Glavine will have a poor outing.

Way to build depth on this team Cashman LOL. Watching the black hole at the bottom of the lineup is always fun.

Jetes (33) has nine years on Reyes (24). In a few years, moving to 3rd will be the smart play.

‘Sides, Jeter has cologne, bottled water, and Ford vehicles to sell.

that reminds me, I love Jeter but how many times do I have to see his car commerical during a game, too much.
