Roger's contract in 2057 will allow him to leave the Yankees to witness the christenings of his great-grandsons Kameron, Kasey, Koyote and Kabbage.

I love how pete responds "Dirt Dogs?" as if he's never heard of the site! I check dirtdogs every day, and I'm not afraid to admit it! It's a great site, whether you like the sox or not (personally, I hate them). But if you enjoy reading about sports on the web and a good laugh, it's worth checking out. Plus, half of their reporting is on the yankees anyway!

For other sports parody, I like http://www.thebrushback.com also.

Peter - if you Yanks sweep the Mets, I want you to shave your head...

If the Mets sweep the Yanks, I will mow my lawn...

Deal?

I think you have to wait out the Teixiera stuff to the end.

The price is way too high at this time.

It has to be. If Jon Daniels (Texas GM) makes another bad deal, he is fired. So, he is going to look for a lot for him, if they deal him at all.

The Yankees aren't trading Joba or Hughes for him. Cashman has already turned that stuff down, according to Kay.

Like Abreu last year, you just have to wait it out and see what happens.

If the price drops, you dive in. If it doesn't, you pass. The Yankees won't blow up the system to get him.

In the meantime, I believe Andy Phillips has to be considered for a callup. He is better than Phelps and can fill the bill when Cairo cools off.

They can't go much longer with Phelps. He is a disaster at first base and his offense, while constantly praised in this blog, is not as advertised.

The bullpen? I gotta tell ya, the more and more I watch Edwar Ramirez, the more I like him. He has a funky pitch (a NASTY changeup) that could really mess up hitters.

He's not an 8th inning type of guy. But, he can help this team if they need another arm in the 6th or 7th innings.

He would be the guy I recall (before Britton) if they either deal Farnsworth or another relief pitcher struggles.

Ramirez could be a guy you recall after the AS Break who becomes almost like a trade pickup if they give him a shot.

Now? No reason for it. The team is going well and you don't mess with that by tinkering right now.

Pete - thanks for the video. I loved the line about the Golden Girls LOL.

Hey, it's nice to see we have our sense of humor back. People should take it for what it is..a parody. It's a lot easier for us to laugh these days.

I live in Massachusetts and lemme tell ya...the Red $ox nation is getting verrrrrry nervous!
