Oliver Perez gave the slumping Mets what they needed last night as the Yankees had their momentum stalled. Brian Heyman has the story of a 2-0 game.

Tyler Clippard is fighting for his job today as he draws a start against Tom Glavine. Kei Igawa (yes, Kei Igawa) looks good in the minors and wants his job back.

Johnny Damon has a new injury and missed last night’s game. This notebook also touches base with Roger Clemens, Julio Franco, Carlos Delgado, Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, Carlos Beltran, Shawn Green and Andy Pettitte.

Roger Clemens pitched well but that was hardly enough for him. It makes for a good column by Rick Carpiniello.

The Mets needed something to get them going and they found it. John Delcos has the story.

What’s happening with the Mets? Keep an eye on the LoHud Mets blog this weekend.

Any chance you could persuade the LoHud Mets blog to show full entries in its RSS feed (like yours does) rather than just teasers? Cheers.

pete, i’m not sure if it means you’re winning or losing, but john has way more links to this blog than you have links to his.
