It wasn’t a good start to the road trip as the Yankees fell to the Rockies 3-1.

The Yankees made a move before the game, calling up Andy Phillips and getting rid of Josh Phelps. This notebook also has updates on Jorge Posada, Johnny Damon and Roger Clemens.

Chien-Ming Wang looks like an ace but doesn’t accept that title. Wang also finds it interesting the Yankees signed two players from China.

Finally, this is off-topic but Andrew Giuliani won a prestigious amateur golf tournament in Westchester yesterday. The son of the former major and presidential candidate, he’s the real deal on the greens and could be a pro someday.
