A few comments on commenting
It’s great that so many people are on the blog during games. The idea of posting once during the game and updating that post seems to be working out well. I appreciate you participating. We had 668 comments on the blog on Tuesday and that’s great.
But, as always, a few losses in a row always brings out the trolls.
Please do not post using somebody else’s handle. If somebody is impersonating you, please let me know the time of their post and I will take care of it.
If your post doesn’t appear, that likely means you used obscene words or something that caused it to get caught in the spam filter. That is not your cue to send it 15 times (like some clown did tonight). That just means it gets filtered 15 times.
Frankly, you writing “(expletive) the (expletive) Yankees” really isn’t really adding much to the discussion anyway. Take it someplace else.
If you have something reasonable to add to the discussion, welcome aboard. If not, there are plenty of other blogs and message boards out there.
Thanks.

Peter,
Please explain something to me. Why would a team like th Yanks who have financial advantages over teams like KC continue to do the same thing over and over again(keep the same bullpen which literally stinks) and not try anything different. Give ramirez and britton a try, try to make a trade etc.???
Why.. KC they have limited options but the Yanks.. Again we can complain about the hitting and many other issues but really does anyone have any reason to trust this pen???What are the signs that they are coming out of it? There are no signs.
Pete also any chance Torre will just say enough and exit? Really they are not playing well, smart, and hard… In the past they could get away with it the last few yrs. they would just hit a HR and during the run they had gamers, a good pen, and a multi talented team but now…
Cano is in his 3rd yr. and he appears to have learned absolutely nothing .HIS OBP is 307, that is laughable…………..
I jsut shake my head at what I am seeing not the losing but how they are losing. Where is Cashman? What is he doing to try to fix this? The yhave options in the minors they may not work but are worth a shot>>>>>>
How can they continue to put this product out on the field?????????Kyle Farnsworth avg just short of 2 baserunners per inning, he is the 8th inning guy…………..
ABreu needs to be spoken to about play with heart or embarass him.. he is scared of collisions and pulls out against lefties like he is scared to get hit by a pitch!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot beleive what I am seeing..
That being said, we’re not the only ones who need to change. When is CashMan at least going to try to mix it up somehow? Trade for Teixeira. Get Gagne. Get Otsuka. Find out what teams Abreu would okay for a trade. We need to do something. We need to grab someone who will cause some excitement in the club house and help us not only this year but in the future as well. Its time for a change.
I think Clemens missed the funeral…it was at camden yards.
tonight in AAA Britton got a save he threw 2 innings 22 pitches 18 strikes.. do I think he can do that in the majors no I do not but WTF give him a shot..
ANyone delusional to think this pen as presently consituted will get the Yanks into the playoffs IS out of there MIND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I thought about pinch hitting Cairo or pinch running for Posada as I saw someone else post about that but can I blame torre for not doing it, in this case I can’t there backup catcher stinks….there bench was; phillips, basak, thompson and Nieves.. They carry an extra pitcher because of there great pen.. If there pen did not suck so bad maybe they could have DUncan on the squad or someone else who has a 30% chance of hitting the ball deep enough in the outfield to sacrifice the runner home..
Yea Giambi is hurt, is that a big suprise.. The guy is 20 pounds overweight and cannot move without getting hurt… His injury status is no more suprising then Pavanos…
I am so angry at mamangement(torre, steiiny and his lap dogs, and cashman it is amazing).
What are they doing about it???Does not appear to be much.
Here are some very reasonable things to do that do not cause an increase in expenses nor getting rid of the good young prospects; trade or DFA myers, Farnsworth, and Villone and bring up Britton and Ramirez. If they do not work out so what try other guys.No lefty out of the pen, so what.. The angels have one lefty who is terrible and many yrs. have none… If no one wants to trade for Farnsworth send him down…..Bring up Duncan to replace one of those spots. If he cannot give you any punch, send him down..Try someone else..
Only trade 2nd tier prospects succh as; desalvo, karsten(I know on DL), rasner types… Clippard is 22 give him time I would not give up on him yet…
try to make some trades for people. Kyle has some value… Do you think Milton Bradley would have helped tonight??WHo has a better chance of getting the ball into the outfield Cairo or Bradley?????
When Minky comes back look into trading him.
there are things they can try, if they tried to improve and still stunk that is fine they tried but no.. 3 yrsago they called up cano and wang and cabrera(whom the ysent down) but they tried things….When are they going to try something?????
Pete, I think this post should be “Stickied” to the top (Meaning it should stay there for everyone to read for a week or so.
Amen, Pete.
