Here are the lineups:

YANKEES

Matsui LF
Rodriguez 3B
Posada C
Abreu RF
Cabrera CF
Cano 2B
Cairo 1B
Clemens RHP (1-2, 5.09)

ORIOLES
Roberts 2B
Gomez SS
Markakis RF

Huff DH
Mora 3B
Millar 1B
Gibbons LF

Bedard LHP (5-4, 3.60)

Pregame chatter: The Yanks are 1-9 against lefty starters on the road. Bedard is 3-3 against the Yankees in his career with a 4.79 ERA. He faced them on April 8: 7 5 3 3 0 5 in a 6-4 win.

Several Yankees, including Johnny Damon and Andy Pettitte, visited wounded veterans of the Iraq War at the Walter Reed Medical Center this morning.

Yankees relievers have walked 138, the most in the majors. They have struck out 162, 25th in the majors.

UPDATE, 6:13 p.m.: Remember when the Rockies swept the the Yankees and they came away saying what a good team Colorado was? Not so much. The Rockies are 0-6 since, getting swept by the Blue Jays and Cubs.

UPDATE, 7:04 p.m.: It’s 97 degrees at first pitch. Terrific.

UPDATE, 7:30 p.m.: The scoreboard here just showed an old video of Cal Ripken Jr. hitting a home run off Roger Clemens. Classy. Oh, by the way, Clemens is 22-12 against the O’s with a 3.44 ERA. Only four pitchers in history have more wins against Baltimore: Whitey Ford (30), Catfish Hunter (26), Mickey Lolich (25) and Billy Pierce (23).

UPDATE, 8:45 p.m.: You have to admire how Clemens works out of trouble. Meanwhile the Yankees are helpless against Erik Bedard.

UPDATE, 8:56 p.m.: Could help be on the way? The Angels told Shea Hillenbrand tonight that he will be DFA’d on Friday. He could be a Yankee by the weekend.
