Checking in from Tampa

First off, thanks to everybody from Taiwan who commented on the blog today or sent me e-mails. I know you guys like to read about Chien-Ming Wang, so I’ll try and deliver some stories whenever I can.
Brutally hot day in Tampa, 95 and muggy. Suddenly air-conditioned Tropicana Field doesn’t look so bad. It’ll be the Wanger against Andy Sonnanstine tonight.
Finally, WFAN’s Sweeny Murti weighs in on the A-Rod situation on his blog. Check it out.

I think that’s the first time in the Trop’s history that someone has actually wanted to be there. Congrats on making history Pete.
Pete, any word on the position player Cash was talking about brining in? And who is the likely candidate to get the boot from the pen?
Jeff G:
Give Myers the boot. Give Myers the boot. Give Myers the boot. Give Myers the boot…...
Sweeny says that many Yankee fans want to see A-Rod gone, see him hit 50 homers for some other team.
What kind of moronic Yankee fans are these?
What Yankee fans are Sweeney talking to?
Brutally hot—95 and muggy? Sounds like Taiwan in the summer. Make sure you schedule your visit sometime in November. Fabulous weather then. Unbearable right now.
You’d be somewhat of a celebrity when you do visit, Pete. An American sportswriter who writes about their hero for all the world to see? Come on…
Robinson Cano has the longest errorless streak for a Yankee second baseman since Mariano Duncan in 1996? I am shocked, simply shocked, that it wasn’t Chuck Knoblauch or Alfonso Soriano.
